The Hub was created because we wanted to be an agency with a difference where our clients and candidates are at the forefront of everything we do.

Whether client or candidate, we want you to have a great experience from start to finish so that you will want to work with us time and again. In other words, we build long-term relationships not transactional ones.

Coming from a Buying background, followed by extensive experience of retail recruitment, we know what good agencies look like – whether hiring for your business or looking for your next career move, we know how important it is to use an agency that is:

And we support you every step of the way. For our clients we give advise on what is happening in the market, the talent available, and the best approach to take to find the right person. For our candidates, we provide advice and help with CVs, interview preparation and presentation skills.

LYNDA ROLLASON – FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR

I founded The Hub in 2012 and have since then worked with companies such as Achica.com.

My previous career was at senior management level, which included using headhunters and recruiters - so I know what it’s like trying to find recruitment specialists who really do deliver what they promise. With that experience, my ethos for The Hub retail recruitment is to work in partnership with our clients and our candidates - for me this means getting to understand the business or the person, their needs and aspirations, so that we can offer a service that is properly targeted – a blanket approach just doesn’t work for us because it doesn’t get the best for either our clients or candidates.

Because of my successful career in people management and business improvement, I bring an invaluable dimension to both clients and candidates. For clients, I build an appreciation of the wider business imperatives that will have a bearing not only for the job that needs filling today but also in helping to plan the talent pipeline for the future. For candidates, I have great insight to offer in career management and in how to secure that dream job.

This means that I build relationships for the long-term not just the here and now. Partnership working isn’t a catchphrase to me – it’s the only way I work.

FELICITY MCNICHOL - DIRECTOR

As a Director of The Hub I have a really valuable point of difference that marks me out from the competition. I was a buyer myself for 7 years, working for companies from John Lewis and BBC Worldwide, through to Laura Ashley and Austin Reed. Four years ago, I took that knowledge and ‘language’ and moved into a very successful retail recruitment career.

Specialising in Buying, Merchandising and eCommerce I have been privileged to partner with some of the big names on the high street. But just as satisfying has been the work I’ve done with a number of growing retail businesses, supporting them in their plans, and helping them achieve their growth by finding the great talent they need.

And the wonderful candidates I have worked with along the way have given me such huge job satisfaction - there’s nothing like sharing the joy with someone for whom you’ve found their dream job. And many have become my clients because they’ve been so impressed with how I work.

I take the time to understand the needs of both the person and the business, and match them up properly. Because for me it’s always quality, not volume.

My clients and candidates are people, not pound signs. That is why I invest my time and expertise to build rapport and understanding having always been guided by the principle 'Treat others as you would want to be treated yourself’.

My mission is to ensure The Hub retail recruitment has a reputation as the most personable but effective agency in the market - you can rely in us to support you on your journey to finding your dream job or that new star for your business.

JACK THE OFFICE DOG

Jack is our lovely office dog and a great addition to our team! You will mainly find him under one of our desks as he loves to sleep and has been known to snore from time to time.

His main hobby is eating but his eyes are too big for his belly and if you give him a piece of cheese he will love you forever! Apart from eating and sleeping he likes nothing more then a big cuddle after a long day at the office. It's a dog's life at The Hub!
